Short version: This website (dashlm.com) collects your contact details only when you voluntarily submit our demo-request form. We do not run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. The dashLM software product is self-hosted by customers — we never access their data.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how dashLM ("dashLM", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit dashlm.com (the "Website").
It does not cover data processed inside an on-premise or cloud deployment of the dashLM software product. For deployments operated by customers, the deploying organisation is the data controller and their own privacy policies apply.
By using this Website you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
The data controller for this Website is:
dashLM

For all data protection enquiries or to exercise your rights, please contact us at the email address above.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide — Demo Request Form
When you submit our "Schedule a Demo" contact form, you may provide:
- Email address (required) — used to respond to your enquiry.
- First name and last name (optional)
- Company name (optional)
- Job role / seniority (optional, selected from a list)
- Team size (optional, selected from a list)
- A free-text message about your use case (optional)
Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms (see Section 6) and forwarded directly to our team email. We do not store form data on our own servers.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically via CDNs
This Website loads fonts and icon assets from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs). When your browser makes requests to these CDNs, the CDN provider may automatically log technical information such as:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Date and time of the request
- The URL of the resource requested
We do not receive this data directly. It is collected and processed by the CDN operators under their own privacy policies (see Section 6).
3.3 Information Stored Locally in Your Browser
We use the browser's localStorage API to store your language preference (dashlm_marketing_lang) and cookie consent choice (dashlm_cookie_consent). This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to any server.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected from the demo request form solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry and schedule a product demonstration.
- Answer questions about the dashLM product, pricing, or deployment.
- Provide follow-up information you requested.
We do not:
- Sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
- Use your data for advertising or retargeting.
- Add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
- Use automated profiling or decision-making on your personal data.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
| Processing Activity | Legal Basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to a demo request form you submitted | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to communicate with prospective customers who have proactively contacted us |
| Google Analytics 4 — website analytics | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only activated after you accept the cookie banner |
| Meta Pixel — advertising measurement & retargeting | Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only activated after you accept the cookie banner |
| Language preference stored in localStorage | Strictly necessary for the functionality you requested — no consent required |
| CDN requests (Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr) | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to deliver essential page assets efficiently and securely |
6. Third-Party Services
This Website uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy. Analytics and advertising services are only activated after you provide cookie consent.
Google Analytics 4 (analytics.google.com)
Purpose: Website analytics — understanding how visitors navigate the site, which pages are most visited, traffic sources, and aggregated audience demographics.
Data collected: Anonymised IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, time spent, referral source, approximate geographic region. We have enabled IP anonymisation (anonymize_ip: true).
Activation: Only loaded after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Not loaded if you decline or have not yet responded.
Data transfers: Data is processed by Google LLC in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Opt-out: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
Meta Pixel (connect.facebook.net)
Purpose: Advertising measurement and audience building — tracking conversions from Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads, creating retargeting audiences, and measuring campaign effectiveness.
Data collected: Pixel ID, browser events (PageView), hashed or raw email address (only if you submit the contact form and have given consent), IP address, browser information, device identifiers.
Activation: Only loaded after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. Not loaded if you decline or have not yet responded.
Data transfers: Data is processed by Meta Platforms, Inc. in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Privacy policy: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/
Opt-out: Meta Ad Preferences or via Your Online Choices
Web3Forms (form.web3forms.com)
When you submit the contact form, your data is transmitted to Web3Forms' API and relayed to our inbox. Web3Forms may temporarily store submission data on its servers in accordance with its own data retention policy.
Privacy policy: https://web3forms.com/privacy
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com)
We load the Inter typeface from Google's font CDN. Your browser sends a request to Google's servers, which may log your IP address and browser information. This request is made regardless of cookie consent as it is necessary to display the page correctly.
Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Cloudflare cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com)
We load the Three.js visualisation library from Cloudflare's open-source CDN. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata per its privacy policy.
Privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net)
We load the Phosphor icon library from jsDelivr. jsDelivr may log IP addresses and request metadata per its privacy policy.

7. The dashLM Software Product
dashLM is a self-hosted software product. Customers download and deploy dashLM on their own infrastructure — their own servers, cloud accounts, or private networks.
When you run dashLM, you are the data controller for all data processed within your installation (database connections, dashboard content, user accounts, AI prompts, audit logs, etc.). dashLM does not have access to your deployment unless you explicitly share access for support purposes.
dashLM does not "phone home", send telemetry, or transmit any data from a customer's deployment to our servers.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
First-Party Local Storage (no consent required)
We use the browser's localStorage API (not cookies) to store two small items that are strictly necessary for the site to function:
dashlm_marketing_lang— your chosen display language. Persists until you clear browser data.dashlm_cookie_consent— your response to our cookie/storage notice. Persists until you clear browser data.
Both values are stored exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics 4 (consent required)
If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets the following first-party cookies on dashlm.com:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier | 2 years |
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX | Maintains session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years |
Advertising Cookies — Meta Pixel (consent required)
If you accept the cookie banner, Meta (Facebook) may set third-party cookies from facebook.com:
| Cookie | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
_fbp | Used by Meta to deliver, measure and improve the relevance of advertisements | 3 months |
_fbc | Stores the last click attribution for Meta ads | 2 years |
Withdrawing Consent
You can withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data for dashlm.com (this removes the dashlm_cookie_consent localStorage entry). The banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also opt out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on and of Meta tracking via Meta Ad Preferences.
CDN Provider Cookies
Third-party CDN providers (Google Fonts, Cloudflare cdnjs, jsDelivr) may set cookies or cache-control headers in your browser as part of their delivery infrastructure. These are governed by the respective providers' policies and are loaded regardless of consent as they are strictly necessary to render the page.
9. Data Retention
Form submission data forwarded to our team inbox is retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable follow-up period (typically up to 24 months), after which it is deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 11).
Web3Forms may retain a copy of submissions on its own systems per its data retention policy.
Local storage entries remain on your device until you clear your browser's site data or we update our key names.
10. International Data Transfers
This Website is operated from within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, some of our third-party service providers are based outside the EEA:
- Web3Forms — may process data in the United States.
- Google (Google Fonts) — operates globally; may transfer data under Google's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Cloudflare — operates a global network; transfers governed by its Data Processing Addendum.
- jsDelivr — operates globally; see its privacy policy for transfer mechanisms.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the safeguards implemented by each provider (Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent mechanisms).
11. Your Rights
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection law, you have the following rights regarding personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for continued processing.
- Right to restriction of processing — request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
- Right to lodge a complaint — file a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@dashlm.com. We will respond within 30 days.
Note: because form submissions are forwarded via Web3Forms, you may also need to contact Web3Forms to exercise rights against copies they hold.
12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA:
- Right to know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
- Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
Categories of personal information collected: identifiers (name, email address), professional or employment-related information (company, role, team size), and communications content (message text).
Purpose of collection: to respond to enquiries about the dashLM product.
To submit a California rights request, contact us at privacy@dashlm.com.
13. Children's Privacy
This Website is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 16, please contact us at privacy@dashlm.com and we will delete it promptly.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
